Stop Unnecessary Towers
If you live anywhere in the Eastern Townships and are concerned about the number of towers going up all around us, here’s what we can do about it:
1) Get informed. Watch the movies on the subject. Check out the research. See what other communities are doing. This web site will continually be updated.
2) Spread the word. Tell your family and all of your friends. Send everyone you know to this web site.
3) Fight the installation of unnecessary towers in your region. Demand proof that the installation of a tower is absolutely necessary. Write to your mayor, your MP and your MNA.
4) Push for fibreoptic cable to be installed in our municipalities. It’s safe. It’s the fastest. It’s the most reliable. It’s the cheapest.
5) Stay in touch. Sign up to receive updates.
6) And don’t accept that there is nothing that you can do…
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed citizens can change the world;
indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead

Insist that Health Canada Revises Safety Code 6
Sign the National Petition here demanding that Health Canada revises its guidelines regarding what is considered safe radiation levels, taking into account the biological effects.
We want our government to make Safety Code 6 100 times more stringent, and to take a precautionary approach to RF/EMF radiation. Also, we want them to update these guidelines more often than every 10 years.
Any Canadian citizen can sign. There is no age limit. So encourage everyone in your family to sign. Even the kids. Again: What is happening will affect them most.
Ask your Member of Parliament to support Bill C-648.
On January 19, 2015, Oakville Member of Parliament Terence Young announced multi-party support for his Private member’s Bill requiring manufacturers of wireless devices to place health warnings labels on their packaging.

Insist that the World Health Organization reclassify EMF-RF from a Class 2B to a Class 1 known carcinogen, based on the findings of the leading independent expert in the field Dr Lennart Hardell.
Take 5 mins to read below and sign this important petition here.
Leading professor from Sweden calls for radiation from wireless technologies to be classed as a Group 1 – KNOWN CARCINOGEN based on review of the scientific literature using the so called Hill viewpoints on environment and disease: association or causation
Swedish professor in Oncology and Cancer Epidemiology, Dr Lennart Hardell, at the University Hospital in Orebro, Sweden concluded in a pre-reviewed article in 2013 that”Based on the Hill criteria, glioma and acoustic neuroma should be considered to be caused by RF-EMF emissions from wireless phones and regarded as carcinogenic to humans, classifying it as Group 1 according to the IARC classification. Current guidelines for exposure need to be urgently revised.” (Hardell, Carlberg Rev. Environ. Health 2013; 28(2-3): 97–106)
Now he supports the petition that RF-EMF (radiofrequency radiation) exposure should be classified as a Group 1 carcinogen – a known cancer causing agent – according to the IARC criteria. The IARC is the International Agency for Research on Cancer within the World Health Organization (WHO). Most of Hardell’s research has been on risk factors for cancer such as exposure to pesticides and persistent organic pollutants. Examples of such agents are herbicides, dioxins, PCBs and brominated flame-retardants. During recent years he and his co-workers have studied the use of cellular and cordless telephones and the risk for brain tumors.
